RHEMOS Health makes it possible to provide access to quality healthcare to patients even in remote locations – within or outside a hospital or a healthcare facility. This is possible through a portable, certified and internet-connected device, that can be present where a doctor cannot.
Rural healthcare delivery presents a host of challenges for healthcare providers. This starts with the low availability of doctors, specialists, and qualified nursing staff in rural India and goes on to the high occurrence of chronic conditions and high mortality rates for newborn children.
Most rural patients have difficulty in finding easy access to affordable healthcare and need to travel far to reach a Public Health Center (PHC) or Community Health Center (CHC). Patients in need of frequent monitoring and treatment for chronic illnesses find regular visits inconvenient and often impossible.
RHEMOS is set to change the landscape of rural healthcare delivery for the better by bringing hospital-grade primary healthcare to the patient’s doorstep. This revolutionary telehealth solution is all set to reimagine healthcare beyond the walls of the urban hospitals and bring it to all PHC and CHC centers across the country. RHEMOS brings world-class care to villages by enabling the testing of 10 to 35 vitals from any village PHC and transmitting test results to remote doctors for diagnosis and prescriptions.
RHEMOS is designed for ease-of-use and can also be used by Asha or Anganwadi workers in villages to administer all tests with 1-2 day training. It lowers dependency on qualified medical professionals to administer tests. It is also designed to work on battery and Bluetooth – which eliminates the need for power and Wi-Fi – making it perfectly suited to typical rural working environments.
Currently, PHC’s use basic and separate manual devices for BP, Temperature, SpO2, and Blood Glucose. Tests like ECG, Respiratory rate, etc. may not be administered frequently and blood tests reports may take 2 days or more. RHEMOS replaces all those with a pocket-size wireless device that can check 35 vitals and also ensures all test results are auto-uploaded to hospital EMR for instant remote access, whenever required.
RHEMOS Health leverages a ‘device + platform’ technology to bring high-quality, affordable, and personalized healthcare to rural patients. Devices measure 35 vitals and a cloud-based app allows remotely located doctors to monitor the vital signs of multiple patients in order to ensure quality healthcare to all.
RHEMOS is designed to measure and monitor up to 35 vital parameters with hospital-grade accuracy, in less than 3 minutes from any location, including remote villages. Vitals include ECG / RRI (Min / Max), HRV, respiratory rate, blood pressure, heart rate, SpO2, body temperature, heart and lung auscultations, along with 7 finger-prick blood tests for Hb, HbA1c, Total Cholesterol, Triglycerides, HDL, and LDL. All vitals are instantly transmitted to remote doctors and enable them to provide an accurate diagnosis and prescriptions.
RHEMOS enables local Asha workers to check multiple vital parameters for every patient within minutes. This information is instantly made available to remote doctors which allows them to not only provide an accurate diagnosis but also detect and arrest any hidden comorbidities early to ensure personalized care and reduce or prevent hospitalization.
RHEMOS smart technology has the capability to take homecare to the next level and enables the hospital to be brought to the patient instead of taking the patient to the hospital. Home care providers can now measure up to 35 vitals accurately at home and give instant access to the test results to the patient’s primary caregiver – the doctor.
Continuous access to real-time vital health data enables healthcare providers to make a timely analysis in case any of the vitals parameters are beyond acceptable thresholds. This capability for early detection and intervention has the potential to save lives even for patients located in remote villages – especially for chronic care and prenatal care.
In high traffic areas, like rural hospitals and PHC/CHCs, a single RHEMOS device can screen 17 to 20 patients/hour and over 150 to 200 patients/day in a 10-hour shift. Multiple devices can be used in tandem. This significantly increases the number of patients that can receive care and also increases the quality of care provided in remote villages. RHEMOS also transmits all test results directly to the app thereby eliminating any manual intervention and data entry errors and further enhances data accuracy and productivity.
RHEMOS tests can be easily administered by local Asha workers. Test results are accessed by remote doctors and specialists, thus reducing dependency on local availability of qualified medical staff, and also reduces staff cost and rural care implementation timelines significantly.
RHEMOS Health leverages a ‘device + platform’ technology to bring high-quality, affordable, and personalized healthcare to anybody, anytime, anywhere – even in the remotest corners of the country. This also ensures ease and speed for the deployment of public health and rural care initiatives as it reduces dependency on locally available qualified medical staff. This is the true democratization of healthcare.
